It was a challenge for us to develop a txakoli, which respecting the grape could be wrapped by a clean and light oak; the Doureau cooperage fabricate for us French wooden fine-grained and medium-high roasted barrels, where we fermented the selected Hondarrabi Zerratia musts. After fermenting, we kept the txakoli with its lees for 6 months, until we achieved the desired combination of fruit, wood and lees.

It has golden yellow color with green hues, clean and bright. It has clean and intense aromas of ripe white fruit and citrus. We also appreciate the toasted bread and pastries denoting the period in oak. Powerful and silky mouth with ripe apple base, with notes of citrus and tropical fruits accompanied by smoky, toasted and buttered subtle notes, all wrapped in a fresh acidity that promises long life and a fantastic development of the wine.
